  5. I wish I would’ve took it serious at your age. I almost laughed when you said always…you’re still young. Keep it up and I wish you the best.

  10. Gonna try this out this week, I just started Golf last week and have a bad tendency to top the ball or hit the far right shot….thanks

  11. Hi Rob. Really enjoyed the video. I tried your tips on the course today and only missed one fairway. I can see a real improvement. However, the trajectory of the ball flight was a lot higher and it seemed as if i was hitting the ball far to high in the air. I’m losing a lot of distance with this fault. Although I am hitting fairways which is a bonus. I was wondering if there is a reason as to why i’m hitting the ball so high. Any advice would be appreciated!!!!

  12. Hi Jack, Thanks for the note…If you’re hitting the ball too high it’s one of two things…either you are moving your COG towards the ball causing it to spin up…or you are teeing the ball to high. Try teeing it down a little so you don’t catch it too high on the face causing it to balloon. Keep me posted…

  13. Rob, I’m a complete rookie but I love the game. I have to tell you… this information has been life-changing for me! 6 minutes of your wisdom and a major improvement in my game. Thank you!

  14. thanks I hope this helps. as soon as you started to explain it I said oh yeah I do that. I’m tired of playing hole four’s fairway on hole three

  15. I see that you respond…my issue is that I get little to no height. I’m hitting it mute straight ( thanks to your videos), but I usually roll my way to the hole. Please advise, & thanks again!

  16. Thanks for the note ViLL T. If you’re not getting the ball in the air, you are not keeping your COG far enough. The driver only has about twice as much loft as a putter, so if you’re not hitting the ball on the upswing, it will fly very low. Keep me posted!

  17. Excellent, just excellent!!! The decoy method worked amazingly at the range, thank you!

  18. hello rob my name is Andrew and I have a problem when I drive the ball the ball will sometimes fly normal but then rapidly drop and I cant figure out how to correct the problem

  19. Thanks for the note @lilshiz56, Since it’s impossible to put overspin on a golf ball with a driver, the only explanation is you are spinning the ball too much creating a balloon affect causing the ball to climb rapidly and drop out of the sky. This happens when your driver strikes the ball on the downswing, meaning…your COG is too close to the ball at impact. If your cheek does not pass the decoy, your COG will stay put and you will drastically reduce ball spin and hit it MUCH farther. Enjoy!

  20. Rob-Driver question and settle dispute argument.I’m an off an on golfer(34 years old) who just stepped back into golf after a 4-5 year lay-off.1st day at range with my buddy I hit a 325yard drive on the third ball I tee’d up.He did not believe that I haven’t golfed in 4-5 years.I’m an X-college-Athlete who on a whim tried golf at 19 and had a 300+drive naturally.Tell him there are guys who can drive the ball far naturally.Question-I never pull the ball, only slice, if I can’t get it straight, why?

  21. Thanks for the note @lighterbuds. To answer your question, of course it’s possible for an athlete to hit the ball that far, not many can do it because distance is a result of balance and ball compression rather than strength. You obviously have good balance. A slice is a result of a slow or no release of the clubhead, fully explained in my Book and DVD series, too much to go into here. You obviously have a good base for golf, you should learn how this is done, you’d be awesome! cogolf.ca

  22. thank you so much I went out on the golf course close to home last week sunday 3/31/13 and shot a 112 I went out to the same course 4/4/13 and shot a 92 by listening to your advice thank you my drive gained a few yards but more accurately

  23. This video changed my game big time. A lot of my buddies slice, some of them slice real bad. My drives, no kidding, often go right down the fairway straight as an arrow. I really struggled to hit the ball well before watching this video. I can’t thank you enough Mr. Bernard!

  25. This is a fantastic video. I have been struggling with driver for some time now, fading it low and right yet with my iron play I have very few issues. I implemented your teachings on the course today Rob and I have never hit my driver so well. Thank you for the advice, I hope now I can hit more fairways and achieve my lower single figure handicap! Thanks again!

  26. Thank you for the very straightforward tips. I can’t wait to get out and try this out! 🙂

  27. Absolutely amazing tip. I have been playing a little less than 1 year. Learned everything I know from youtube. Currently an 18 HCP. My normal drives were 230-260 and the occasional 270. Plagued with the dreaded slice mostly because I believe my shoulders were turned open. Started off doing this; 1/2 swing in the middle of the FW at 225, Second: 3/4 swing in the middle at 256. Third was a full swing. 316 in the middle. 4th was 306 on a draw instead of a fade, Missed the green by 25 ft. 🙁 upNdown

  28. Tried this on the range and its great.. Cant wait to put it into practice pn the course.
