  2. this might be a stupid question. But does the little practice swing in the pre-shot routine at about 2:07 have a name? I always found that move interesting since a lot of people do it kinda the same way. And it never really reflects the full swing for witch they are preparing (not “full swing” in this particular case though).

  3. No, not really. I think it’s just that, part of his pre-shot routine. It might not resemble their full swing because some players may be focusing on a particular “swing thought” and want to feel that and emphasize that feeling before they head into their shot. You could be focused on the way you rotate, bring the club back, etc. Tiger looks like he’s just getting a feel for the grass and the lie in that clip.

  29. PUMA? Best shot of all time, don’t think so. Any hacker could get this on the green. What makes it so great is he holes it. Anyone remember a 200 yard 6 iron from a sand trap over water to a back pin locations and sticks the green? Much better than this one. Tiger could easily have a top 10 greatest golf shots of all time all on his own. And Verne Lundquest needs to retire or stop huffing into the microphone when he narrates the masters, sounds likes like he’s got emphasyma.

  30. This is more a great capture of the sheer energy that Tiger brought in his prime to the majors than it is the greatest shot. In his prime Tiger won, and won by a healthy margin. The great shots can come from nowhere, or come from someone in control, but they also have the factor of bring a little doubt into your competitors who can be as focused as you are until you put the foot to the accelerator. This isn’t the bet ever, but it’s a VERY good representation of what Tiger used to routinely do.
