Maria is joined by Dennis Biedenstein, PGA Director of Instruction at Pevely Farms Golf club. Dennis answers Pat’s question and suggests that Pat has the golf ball a bit further up in their stance than the ball position with irons because you tend to hit the ball on the upswing.
Dennis suggests you get a little wider in your stance when hitting hybrids and fairway woods and place the golf ball about the width of the clubhead inside your front heel. This ensures your center is slightly behind the golf ball.
