    distracting!

  2. Dispense with the stupid music. Nothing as annoying than music, especially
    bad music, with a workout.

    The music in the background is a timer.
    Some use a clock, or smart phone.
    The timer allows one to workout for a time duration and rest for a time
    duration.
    One can use 20-10 or 30-15 or 45-10 or 50-10.
    This type of training to “time” allows people who are at different fitness
    levels to workout together.
    Ex. if you are able to do 20 push ups in 20 seconds and I can do 10 push
    ups in 20 seconds, we are both working to our max potential.
    Hope this explains the reason behind “time” training vs. “counting reps”
    training.
