The Drummond Golf Rules Guide answers some of the BTF Readers Questions with Simon Majdulski from Golf Australia.
the rules are the rules are the rules…
first!!!
I disagree, Mark. I love your USA accent and think you should try an entire video using it! 🙂
The only rule I hate is the divot in the fairway rule. How can you possibly control hitting a tee shot and missing a sand filled divot in the fairway? Stroke and Distance penalty is a bit harsh as well.
The R&A App is good, rather than going through the book plus it has a good quiz
Soccarrr
divot in the fairway rule? just play it where it lies no penalty.
Hi Mark,
I have a question about the divot. Is the club supposed to start the divot from the right side or from the left side even though you release the club in the perfect way? Many people told me that the club should start the divot from the right and out towards my target but others said it should start more from the left and out towards my target. What do you think?
I’m a law student…the law comparison is miles out. Golf rules are a hell of a lot easier to read and understand than law. I understand your point though. Great vid as always
Hey mark, got a question for you. I’m a good golfer around 3.4 handicap but I struggle with exiting left after once I get through the hitting area. Any tips or drills? Cheers!
If Your A Right Handed Golf Your Divot Should Start On The Left Side Of The Golf Ball Towards Your Target.
just finished laughing at his attempt at “soccer”
mark, do you ever hit a bad shot. 🙂 nice vids keep it up
One of the biggest mis understood rules, on the tee and you accidently knock off your ball or it falls off, I use to think it is a penalty and 2 to re-tee and playing 3. Ball is not in play and it was not your intention to hit it, re tee and play on.
