  1. Too good for the golf channel-they probably have deal with the governing bodies to not reveal the truth about the swing, so people keep coming back to their teachers. Thats my conspiracy theory! All the best.

  2. i just saw the 3 finalists. i mean, come on. i like martin hall but not like he is new to the scene. he has already been on GC loads of times?
i dont know the other candidates but GC really missed a opportunity to get a fresh voice out there.
still im glad that im the only one of my friends that knows about RST! not good for your wallet CQ but happy for everyone else to be listening to conventional dumbed down patter

  3. Lol. Seriously Chuck you’re onto something here-I’m a big fan of your method. Give it a few years and everyone will be teaching this way-I’m slowly converting my friends and will try to get them to sign up to the site.
A couple of questions-First, what’s the best way to stop the head diving towards the ball in the takeaway? (I was thinking controlling the left knee bend &making sure the shoulder turn is rotational?) Secondly is this RST good enough for top PGA level/major wins? Thanks

  4. Hi Chuck-I’ve been studying your method-bought the RST Manual-very good. Thinking ALOT about the swing. Do you actually need to elevate the shoulders in the backswing? It feels like an unnecessary step which obviously requires the shoulders to decend in the downswing. I’m sure you know the answer-what is the reason for the elevation? I couldn’t work it out and I’m hitting good shots without actively elevating. Your explanation would be much appreciated. Thanks

  5. Thanks again Chuck ffor such a clear answer. I think I must be elevating without thinking about it. Swing going really well thanks to you. Currently playing off 7 but swing much better than that now. Will you ever be in the UK to teach? I would be interested in a few private lessons if you are. Cheers, Mark.

  6. Thanks-I may speak to Sam-it just that I know you are good! I’ll email Christina to let her know I’m interested in a UK clinic. All the best, Mark

  7. This is a well prepared lesson and something most levels of golfers should reference.

  8. Hi chuck : I learned about you 2 days ago, while looking for video tips at youtube.I was amazed about every single video clip of you, giving instructions, etc. After the 1st video clip, i added it to my favorite, then video after video i kept on adding them all..hehehe. In other words.. you are brilliant . About the golf channel video, I couldnt believe why any other instructor never show a so simple explanation of the take-away & golf swing like you do. i see why you didnt win,coz they dont get it

  9. Hey Chuck great video, very simple to understand.

Just a quick question, when you talk about “moving the shoulder blade towards your spine” would this also apply to when you are releasing the club in the swing and turning the other way when you are finishing your swing. Obviously im talking about the other shoulder blade in this instance. I tried doing this and found that i balanced out much better after doing this and also helped my swing path after compact with the ball

  10. Hi Chuck, your golf swing concept is so obvious and simple that makes me fall in love with golf again. One question, I have a too long backswing, How can I shortened my swing in order to not to lose the stability and hit the ball as you should? thanks and have a great year

  11. the instructors on the golf channel are morons..a golfer will learn more from watching the guy in this clip, opposed to watching michael breed and the other muppets for the whole of 2012

  12. I watched your analysis of Sergios Garcias lag increase. His wrist cock or down – cock dies not massively increase ? what is actually happening is his hands drop massively causing the plane to flatten massively. From face on this gives the illusion of a massive increase on the wrist cock, but there is no increase when you watch his swing from DTL. You also fail to understand Sergios coil on the backswing.

  13. Your right, the face on view makes it appear to downcock a few more degrees since the swing is flattening, but the club is absolutely increasing lag in the downswing. The ideal angle would be perpendicular to the swing plane, but would be nearly impossible to shoot a video from that angle without a ladder. It would be impossible to measure lag from DTL. Sergio has great coil in the backswing, maybe we will cover this in another video. ~RST Instructor, Clay Ballard
