  3. I beg to differ I’ve been playing a 7 wood for years and i hit it much better out of the rough than any hybrid… but thats from a single digit handicapper with a high swing speed

  4. Your man love for the G20 hybrid is making me slightly uncomfortable. When does a hybrid become a fairway wood ? Shaft length ? ( Giggity !!! ) I’m confused ?

  7. Love the video, as ever. I use a G20 hybrid, and don’t really get the cloning aspect of the latest Ping clubs. It’s like pop groups, some have a distinctive sound whereas others produce songs which sound the same. Ping are in danger of falling into the latter group. And yes, it’s a fairway in all but name.

  14. Honestly, like possibly the other 80% of golfers out there, I really prefer the G25 over the G20 which I have never really paid attention to few years back. I think if I were a Ping fan I would be getting a G25 hybrid, wood and driver that will fit in any bag quite nicely.

  19. Well I hate hybrids I was just saying, it’s different for everyone. I’m more traditional I’d rather just hit an iron. And that’s coming from a single digit handicapper with a high swing speed.

  20. I just ordered a set of these irons. I chose the 3 iron over the Hybrid. I just dislike the look of a hybrid when looking down at it. I have always preferred the look and feel of a 3 iron.

    Tried the G20 but as I hit inside out when I am not at my best, the offset didn’t really suit me. Finished up with Mizuno JPX800 but not really into those to be honest.
    Will try and give the Pings a hit……..might go well with the new Anser irons just bought!

  22. Attended Demo Days at Madison Golf Center in Alabama this past weekend. I absolutely adore the G25 17 hybrid with the tour-x shaft-so much so that I ordered it along with the G25 8.5 driver with the tour-x shaft. Currently I game an I20 10.5 with Fubuki Alpha 70x and an Adams Super XTD 17 with Fubuki Ax400h X. I felt as if I hit the 8.5 HIGHER than the 10.5 I20 and gained some major roll out. I also felt the G25 hybrid was more “down the line” than my Adams Super XTD. Breaking 80…here I Come!

Also…the Ping “proprietary” shafts are no joke… I plan to purchase a Ping adapter sleeve and remove the Fubuki from my I20 so that I can test out some numbers in the G25…but one on one (my I20 vs the G25 at demo days) the G25 was rolling to the fence while the I20 was carrying a bit further but REALLY checking up. From the box it looked like the G25 was rolling out 20-30 yards further. Anywho…just thought I would share that info for golfers like me who like to upgrade shafts…

  33. LOL….Okay, another one in the “hit down” category. You know, if you watch all the videos on hitting hybrids, you’ll get about fifty-fifty “hit down” to “sweep.” Some time ago, I took a poll of all the guys at the range. I got 23 “hit downs” and 21 “sweeps.” So, unable to get any help at all on this, I decided to get a large bucket of balls and hit half “down” and half “sweep.” I got much better and more consistent results hitting down. So, until someone proves otherwise, I’m a “downer.”

  40. His swing looks good to the uneducated eye but flipping (hands behind clubhead at impact) is the biggest killer of power, accuracy and consistency in golf. Don’t buy hair tonic from a bald guy, Don’t take golf instruction from Flipper 🙂
