  1. Simple question… Can fat people like me throw discs like that? I just started playing this sport maybe 2 weeks ago and I can barely throw 75 feet. I’d sure like to throw at least 150 – 200 at the very least.

  2. Dont let that discourage you. You absolutely can learn to throw farther. What discs are you using?

  3. youtube.com/watch?v=ltHruUCg3cw could somebody critique my drive? I’d love suggestions for more distance.

  4. I don’t know if you look at 11:48 that sure looks like he’s pulling straight across his chest instead of lowering it like he wanted the player to do.

  5. Last tip improved my distance by 50 meters. That’s 150 feet ppl. I kept my arm too high all along

  6. try sum slower disc like a buzzz, comit, really any midrange. people think drivers r good to throw when u first start to play and thats not true. stick to slower and understable disc

  7. Discraft’s video’s, including this one, are my warm ups before going out to play serious. If you are like me you will notice a large change in your game if you watch this and others just before going out to play. The little tips are fresh in your head. Thanks for the tips, because of them I am not beating, but competing with low level pro’s though I’m pretty new.

  8. Hah same here, I watched this video before playing today and beat my personal best by 2 strokes after a huge slump lately. Granted my best isn’t great but I’ve been stuck at it and haven’t came near it in a long time. The main thing was the tip he told the one guy about getting over the disc when driving, reaching back far, and keeping the thumb in. My first drive was straight, 4 feet off the ground and 75 feet longer than normal. Before they shot up in the air and curved left.

  9. i can throw 400 accuratley and i can max out closer to 500. i owe this video a considerable amount.

  10. a good way to practice your stroke is to get a dish towel and go through the motion. you want it to make a good whipping noise in the air. the better the noise the more power your getting to your hand

  11. This Video helped me alot i went from 350 ft accuretely now i’m at almost 450.

  12. Try this! Instead of focusing on turn around, long pulls, and all these confusing things. Its all in the wrist, not the arm. Just stand sideways and develope a twisting back and forth motion to find your rythym. Put the disc out off your chest with a power grip. Small rim and big diameter disc are easier to feel the snap. Now rock your wrist back and forth opening and closing your palm finding rythym. Combine the two now. Dont throw for a minute two find your timing. DO NOT THROW IT, FLICK IT.

  13. gained me, 50ft on my drive, i was over snapping it… i wish they had an in person clinic for this nere grand rapids mi……

  14. I have been playing with no formal instruction for about 15 years. Not a pro – but I thought I could wing it…. I watched this video and no kidding – improved 75-100 Ft on my drives. Also the way it is taught to throw, even though the disc goes much further, it’s much easier on my shoulder. Five Stars – Two thumbs up! Thanks for the advice.

  15. Hey I’m 19 years old and just starting to try golf this year. I can hit with a driver but I usually hit straight up. I have a hard time choosing how to not hit it up as high as I am. Does anyone have any tips for a new golfer such as myself? I’ve only maxed out hitting 250 and I know thats not much but I started 2 months ago and try the range once a week usually. Thank you for any advice 🙂

  16. Awesome video; this video has really worked for me; nothing else has!

  17. I accidentally broke a driver while at the driving range as I hit it too hard on the ground

  18. Thanks for the vid. I’m a decent iron player, but my driving has always suffered. So when I address the ball your way, my club face is slightly open (my driver is set to square) . Is this how it’s supposed to be? My bad shots with the driver is a low hook or just low short distance ball of any kind. Thanks in advance

  19. I am just now learning how to play golf. I am having many problems. My main problem is that I keep missing the ball when I swing. I played baseball growing up and it is like I am pulling on a pitch when I swing. My front shoulder keeps moving out. What can I do to correct this? Any drills?

  20. Try swinging your left arm across your chest in the backswing in line with the right shoulder. If you were to stop at the top of your backswing your hands and left arm should be in line with your right shoulder. As you start the downswing, focus on a spot slightly on the inside half of the ball and make sure you’re transfering your weight to the left foot and leg as you rotate to finish. Hogan said he liked to feel as if his elbows were connected to the body. Watch his videos!!

  21. See my comment to BigRedRacer. Try hovering the club slightly off the ground at address. If you set the club on the ground, it will have a tendency to open slightly, especially if it’s sitting on uneven ground. Besides, when you come back to impact your driver face should not be skimming the ground at all!! So it makes sense to hover the driver head slightly off the ground!!

  22. P.S. Don’t think too much about spine tilt. Just make sure your head is slightly behind your hands at address. If your clubface is open after trying these things, either your grip is way off or you are pressing your hands too far foward.

  23. I watched this video then went and played probably had my best game off the tee I’ve ever had…apparently my placement was way off. I hit consistently straight w/ a little fade about 180-200 yds…I’m thinking I need a stiffer shaft. But anyway…thank you…improved my game in the matter of a 10 min video.

  24. Hey There! Thanks a lot for this helpful video. By the way, I notice lots of people keep on talking about Golfonax Training Program (just google it), but I’m not sure if it’s good. Have you considered this golf program called Golfonax Training Program? I have heard some great things about it.

  25. Hey Steve. I have trouble getting the ball in air with my 10.5 degree Wilson Driver. i mean i can hit 70-120 but it tends to stay REALLY low. :/ please help me get the ball in air. ( although this situation happens only sometimes and i cant fix it sometimes. ) help. this is embarrassing because i can hit my 7 iron further 0.0

  29. Hey There! Thanks a lot for this useful video. By the way, I notice many people keep on talking about Golfonax Training Program (just google it), but I’m not sure if it’s good. Have you considered this golf program known as Golfonax Training Program? I have heard several amazing things about it.

  30. Its still surprises me, just how some people do not know about Golfonax Training Program (do a google search), even though many people improve their golf skills because of this training program. Thanks to my cooworker who told me about Golfonax Training Program, I’ve improve the weakest part of my golf game.

  31. Sounds like you are using a forward press at address. You don’t want to do that on the driver. Hands should be behind on the driver to hit on upswing. As far as your snap hook it sounds like your weight is falling on your right foot at impact which is a reverse pivot. There are only two places the ball can go when you hit your drive from your right foot(right handed player) low and left with a snap hook and high and right with a fade. So stay off your right foot hands behind the ball.
