Josh…great great post..
Only question is….you say body moves forward and down…the down is important to me because I tend to come up out of it. But your head doesn’t move down whatsoever…how come?
I have been enjoying Jim Hardy’s OPS for a while …. but these Josh videos and far and away the best visual aid to help and assist.
Sadly I live in Britain otherwise Stanford would be where I would be having lessons.
Keep it up Josh and thanks.
What does the super-leany shaft do to your path? Seems like you will throw the path way to the right…big d-plane implications, right?
Josh as usual great video and thank you so much for your outstanding teaching methods. My question is what about the driver are you still sliding forward and hitting down?
Josh, clearly your weight moves forward and down to start the swing but actually your head stays back. It is rock steady as you hit the ball. It doesn’t move forward and down at all.
Have to agree with you there!!!
i think your a very good teacher. you break it down well and don’t over complicate the fundamentals. i’ll be watching more of you. many thanks for uploads as their helping my game a great deal. kind regards!!!
stack and tilt ?
in depth analysis clear and precise very confident of your approach clears up a lot of the mystery of golf searchers of the complete and simple answer to the golf swing should absorb what your are detailing joekane23
Request: I need to see your face to read your lips… yeah, I’m almost deaf. You are backlit here. The sun is behind you, putting your face in darkness. Maybe next time your vid will be even better by being aware of this! Thanks, good instructions.

best instruction I’ve seen, clear and concise.
also check out mike lebauve who tells you how to make the same moves, but in simple terms
no, it’s straight out of Jim Hardy’s one plane swing teachings.
This is the best video I have seen as far as the wording and keeping it simple. I appreciate it highly
Click ‘cc’ on the bottom of the video.
Have you watched the entire video with the cc text? It will definitely not help you become a better golfer! It’s like a Monty Python sketch about translating… thanks for the tip though.
Thank you for making it sweet simple and fully understandable without excessive jargon
Since the hole is behind him I wonder if he just hit the ball to a building or something
Some good advice but why is it that all instructors seem obsessed with saying the word “golf” as often as they can. Surely, swing, club, and ball would do instead of prefixing these words with”golf” again and again. This happens in sooooo many youtube videos that im thinking all instructors are on a bonus for saying “golf” as many times as possible!!
Good video but maybe the last swing could be in slomo??
Thanks Josh, good clear simple instructions/advice.
