  1. he chooses not to. back in the early days on ttour he could would hit it 165 or so. still can. good players understand that hitting short irons far isa ridiculous measure of distance. It only depends on playing with your wrist angle at impact. long irons and driver show how good a swing is

  2. ok thanks for clearing that up, but for a tour player he still doesnt hit it very far. there is a video on here explaining how he has a small amount of shoulder turn compared to big hitters

  3. maybe. tiger is still long though. he isnt a bubba thats true. but if he wanted to i would bet he could hit 320-330 no problem. IMO many tour players can, but the rough is penalizing, not like courses avarge people play. they are better with a 5 iron from the fairway than a 7 from the rough. take my word for it man, tiger is too smart of a golfer to lead the tour in driving distance. in his college days though he would hit a 2 iron over 300 ive heard

  4. i agree. but i still think tiger is something special with his ability to hit it deep

  5. wow thats exctly what ive been doing this whole time hopefully that tip will help.

  6. That’s because Tiger has older (weaker) lofts on his irons. Also, that’s just his standard 9 iron shot. He could it it further or shorter or do whatever he wants to do with it.

  9. Great! Something useful to do with the tee… It remains me to stay focus on my back swingp. Thanks for sharing… really works!

  10. Don’t forget to set your wrists! If you follow this video verbatim, you will actually return the club head into a closed position at impact and your shots will hook right, a common problem. The solution is to set your wrists correctly – try this – at address, lift your club into the air to 90 degrees with wrists, then turn 45 degrees, your club will be paralell with the target line and the clubhead pointing straight up in a neutral position, this is the correct setting of the wrists!

  12. nice tip with the drill, have not seen that one before. question for all when was there ever a correct yardage to hit? I hit my driver 270m carry 297y hardly any roll out with an 8.5° loft
but my nine iron 115m 126y but I do that consistently, hitting a 9 iron a long way is not what it’s for. it’s about being able to repeat it consistently.

  13. your right but a nine iron should be going more then 100y for pretty much everyone, for most id say its about a 150y club

  14. most people play a 7 iron at 150. There was a poll taken at average distances for each club in one of the editions of GOLF magazine and 150 for most is 7i

  15. ??..you don’t rotate the club head on the back swing?..or am I misunderstanding this??

  16. For the longest time, I never rotated it on the backswing, and thus I never had good contact with my irons. Once I started to do it, however, I started playing sooooo much better. I can hit beautiful iron shots off the tee, but I’m still working on hitting them good off the grass without the tee. The clubhead rotation is what made me improve so much…

  17. 25-3. Wrong Putting Green
If a player’s ball lies on a wrong putting green, he must not play the ball as it lies. He must take relief, without penalty.
