  1. I have just taken up golf again after some years away from it. I remember paying lots of money to get this kind of advice. I can’t wait to get on the practice range.

    Thank you for your advice.

  2. Hi Mark
Thank you for your videos , I have cleaned up most of my errors with my swing , the main problem for me was slicing which has been reduced . Just one question , most of the time I hit it straight or straight left not a huge left maybe 20 metres of centre ,is it important to hit a draw . What could cause the straight left I have good contact and distance and checked for over the top swing it mainly happens with long irons and sometimes the driver .
    Regards Mitchell

  3. Hi Mark Mitchell again , just another question with the driver and slicing . I have TaylorMade Fast Burner graphite shaft and Reg flex . could the slicing be also caused by a wrong shaft . My irons are metal shaft as normal , I dont not have any problem with distance or ball flight , could the shaft be to weak for me 175 cm and 85 kg .

    Regards

  4. A slice has shown up in my game on the last two rounds absolutly killing me. I’m going to check these points. I hopwe this is it. The slice is a killer

  5. I was a constant fader and after your advice my swings produce much, much straighter shots. Check them out at my channel and correct me.

  6. Hi Mark, It’s just unbelivable. I’m 43 and I had a major league slice problems for years. I follow those advise and belive it or not, it’s gone….For me the best advise was the grip and keeping the clubface close on the backswing. Thank you so much

  7. Hi Mark
the flattening of the wrist is new to me… i tried it after watching your video..the first shot was one of my longest and straightest ever!

  8. Your advise Is fantastic but none of these tips work because my clubs are much too big. How can I correct this without getting new clubs? Cheers

  9. great advice!! played a small tournament this past weekend and my driver was straight on the fairway almost every shot! I would have never thought that the wrist hinge would have been my problem. love it can’t wait to go play again. now only if I could putt better lol.

  10. Thanks for the tips. I’m playing tomorrow and I’ll use them and will let you know how I go. Maybe you will save me buying so many balls!!! Thanks

  11. I am trying to fix my slice and improve my ball-striking but I’m so confused because different teachers say different things. Mark seems to think that an open clubface is the cause of a slice, whereas Sean Foley says the club PATH is more responsible for the spin put on the ball (which causes slice). I don’t know what to think!

  12. Great advice, I have been working on it and it has almost completely cured my slice, particularly with my driver. I still struggle with the hip movement but the grip and flat wrist focus has helped a lot. thanks again.

  13. As soon as I heard and saw tip one I had to check how I held my club. I saw that I held it diagonal in my hand so I believe that this will help me alot.

  14. Simple dynamics put in a simple demonstration. Just went out into the backyard and hit my 6-7-8-9 into a field. 19/20 were straight with a small fade. Love the advice especially about the hinge. Flat is KEY!! I was hinging too much causing a skull shot. Perfect fix Mark!

  15. great advise, thanks Mark. i noticed that when using my driver, i hit straighter shot if i had 3-4 nuckles showing rather than 2 like i do with my irons. is this an ok habit to get into? thanks, Ross

  16. The quality of Mark’s videos have improved a great deal since this one was made. I liked the sound of the truck backing up half way through the video.

  17. Excellent tips. Tip 2 took me from uncontrollable slice to dead straight shots by practicing my backswing in my living room.
    Thanks!
